Zella B. Kramer, age 72, of Choteau, MT died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Teton Medical Center in Choteau, MT from natural causes. At her request, no services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home of Choteau, MT.
Zella was born December 28, 1939 in Havre, MT, the daughter of Elwin and Olive (Alm) Lunden and was raised in Chinook and graduated from Chinook High School. She went to one year of college and became a Beautician, working in Stanford and Great Falls. Zella married Marlin Kramer in 1967. She then became a ranch wife, living in remote locations in Montana and South Dakota.
In the early 1980s, Zella and Marlin moved to Choteau where Zella worked at the Teton Nursing Home as a caregiver. Zella enjoyed working in her yard and knitting.
Marlin passed away in 2005, at that time Zella moved from Agawam to Choteau. She was always busy.
She is survived by two sons: Clarence D. Kramer of Choteau, MT and Steven M. Kramer of Fallon, NV; a sister, Karen Pike of Chinook, MT; grandchildren: Melanie Grossaint of Salt Lake City, UT, Kret Hansen of Lampasas, TX, Justin Kramer of Yelm, WA, Jessica Sivumaki of Fort Shaw, MT, Tommy Kramer and Clint Kramer, both of Gillette, WY, Sally Wilcox and Sarah Tracy, both of Fallon, NV and Kevin McClure of Phoenix, AZ; 11 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
Zella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlin and a daughter, Yvonne "Zazey" Kramer.
