Wade H McKay Sr. of Choteau, MT passed away on July 31, 2024. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Frontier Funeral Home in Choteau. No services are planned. A private family burial will occur at a later date.
Wade McKay 75 was born to parents' Wade and Elizabeth McKay in Great Falls, MT on March 27, 1949.
Wade was born a twin to brother Wayne. Wade met and married Juna Giles on May 12, 1971, together they had 3 Children. Wade made his home in Choteau, and it was the perfect place to teach his family how to ranch, ride a horse, buck bales, herd cows, build a campfire, hunt, and fish.
Wade lived the "Cowboy" way of life. Wade's dress code was a cowboy hat, pearly button shirt, Western Belt, Levi's, and boots.
Wade watched all the old western movies on his TV. John Wayne was his idol!
Wade Liked to take "Sunday" drives in his truck, he and Juna would load the cooler and take two sets of binoculars and off they would go, hoping to spot that big grizzly, a trophy elk, or a buck. At the end of each road trip at "Sundown" they would find a café and have dinner.
Wade loved the outdoors, a true cowboy.
Wade was proceeded in death by his parents and his beautiful only daughter, Shana.
Wade is survived by his wife, Juna, of 53 years, Sons, Wade H McKay Jr. Clifford W. (Christina) McKay, 8 grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Juna and her children would like to give a special thank you to Clay Crawford for the longtime friendship he and Wade had.
