Sherry Ross

Sherry L. Ross, 68, of Choteau, Montana, passed away February 26, 2019 at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder-Jensen Funeral Home and Private services will take place at a later date.

Sherry was born, August 18, 1950, and raised in Missoula, Montana to parents Gerald B. Thompson and Julia J. Merciar. She graduated from Sentinel High School in Missoula in 1968. Sherry met James W. Ross while she was living in Bellevue, Washington and the couple were married June 2, 1979 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Sherry was blessed with two sons James Jr. and Michael whom she was very proud of and loved unconditionally.

Sherry worked as a phone operator and a dispatcher for US West Phone Company from 1968-2001, while living in Bellevue, Washington. Sherry enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. She loved camping, going on drives and walks and meeting new people. Most of all Sherry loved to spend time with her beloved husband and sons and their feline companions.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 39 years, James W. Ross of the family home in Choteau. Her sons James W. Ross Jr. of Choteau, Montana and Michael J. Ross of Renton, Washington. Her sisters Tina Thompson of Moscow, Idaho and Marlia Jording of Bellevue, Washington; her brother Bob(Terry) Thompson of Boise, Idaho and a step-grandson Jacob Ralls of Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Julia Thompson and a brother Ray Thompson.
