Sarah Tesch

Sarah "Sally" Naomi Aston Tesch passed away at Benefis Teton Medical Center in Choteau on September 26, 2016. Funeral services will be held at Choteau United Methodist Church on Saturday October 8th, at 2:00 pm.

On May 9 ,1926 Sally Tesch was born to Janet Harriet Ross Aston and John "Jack" Whitmore Aston in Oyen, Alberta, Canada. Her father Jack received a World War I, Canadian soldier's, Homestead Grant upon his return from the war. Sally's mother Janet followed shortly after as a War Time Bride. Sally grew up in central Alberta and moved to Windsor, Ontario in her late teens with her mother and two older brothers, Bill and Ross. While living in Windsor she met Albert Tesch who joined the US Army in Detroit in the Spring of 1943. Sally and Albert corresponded throughout World War II. After the war in April of 1946 they were married in Windsor. That summer they joined Albert's Uncle Art Tesch in making Choteau, Montana their home.

Sally was very involved in the Choteau community, she was an active member in the Eastern Star, the United Methodist Church, the Choteau Golf Course, the Choteau Bowling Alley, the Choteau Senior Citizens Center, and the Skyline Lodge. Sally enjoyed painting and was taught to paint by Jess Gleason. Sally enjoyed traveling and she and Albert traveled extensively with their RV. Sally and Albert visited Ayers, Scotland, her mother's birth place.

Sally Tesch is preceded in death by her parents, Janet and John Aston, her brothers and sister, Bill, Ross, John, and Vivian Aston and her husband Albert Tesch. Sally is survived by her children, Tom and Fred Tesch, her daughter Margaret Huebert, and multiple nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sally has touched many people. Sally joins the ones that she loves that have passed before her. Sally had a long and wonderful life and she will be missed.
