Rosalie Slanger

Graveside Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Choteau Cemetery for Rosalie "Rose" M. Slanger, age 94, of Choteau, MT who died Tuesday, February 12, 20113 from natural causes. Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, February 16th at the Gorder Jensen Funeral Home.
Rose was born November 6, 1918 in Belt, Montana, the daughter of Andrew and Katherine (Dolan) Brutosky. She was raised and educated in Augusta, MT graduating high school there. She also lived in Great Falls before moving to Choteau shortly after her marriage. She married Jack W. Slanger on May 2, 1942 in Kalispell, MT and he preceded her in death 1977.
Rose was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling also. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Choteau County Club.
She is survived by her daughter: Hazel Peterschick of Lewistown, MT, a brother: Andrew Brutosky of Choteau, MT, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack Slanger, a son: Don Slanger; a daughter, Jackie Day; a grandson, Mark Peterschick and 4 sisters: Esther Bauer, Bertha Anderson, Kay Larson and Vernia Lumsden.
