Roberta Stott

Roberta Martina Armijo Stott Was born Feb. 9, 1995 in great falls Montana, Berta Passed away on Oct. 17, 2017. With her loving family at their home in Fairfield. Roberta lived on the Crow Reservation until she was taken into foster care. Roberta came as a foster child to Kent and Mickey Stott on Aug. 15, 1996 Berta was 18 months old. Her family has always called her Berta, but she is also know by others as Bird. Berta was adopted on Jan. 9, 2007. It was an exciting day for her to be in the Stott family. Berta has always loved fall and her favorite holiday was Halloween. Berta had many talents; she loved to draw pictures, mostly of people. She was really good on the computer and helped her mom and dad many times with computer problems. Berta had a very good sense of humor and was always finding jokes that she could pull on her family. One day, as mom was doing the dishes, she was surprised to find the sprayer had been rubber banded open and mom got sprayed in the face. That was a shock.

Berta loved to go fishing with her dad. One day she decided to go fishing in the drainage ditch by herself. She caught a fish and as she was walking home carrying the fishing pole with the fish still on the hook, and behind her followed the cat. Berta loved her cats and could be seen playing with them and dressing them in doll clothes and hats.

One day when we were in Great Falls to pick up Berta from the hospital, Mickey mentioned that she needed to get some things from the store. Although it was Sunday, we weren't too excited about going shopping. But Mic said she needed to get a couple of things to save an extra trip to great falls the next day. So she went shopping on Sunday. At this time, Berta who claimed to be an atheist, and claimed she didn't believe in Christ or God, nor the Bible, or the Book of Mormon. Berta asked mom way she went shopping on Sunday and mic told her we really didn't like to shop on Sunday but we needed to. Berta replied "Why don't you tell Jesus that." Berta has enjoyed doing goofy and unusual things. Berta loved to dress in Halloween Costumes even just to go to town. She liked to dress as a Harley Quinn in black and red and pig tails in her hair. Many times she could be seen dressed as a leprechaun with her green hat and painted green shoes. She has a little bit of Irish in her. Once at the emergency room the nurse asked her if she thought she was a leprechaun... and she just laughed....and said NO.

Berta was the perfect sister to Tami. She would color and paint with her and help her with crafts. She would also take care of Tami while shopping or at home.

Berta is survived by her parents, Kent and Mickey Stott, brothers, Karl Wade, Fairfield; David Kent Arizona; Dr Phillip Kevin, Arkansas; Daniel Dee, great Falls; Christopher, Kathryn and Tristan, Utah; and sister Tami Leanne. Also, she is survived by two other brothers and one sister. We want to thank our Peace Hospice nurses, Nancy and Wendy for their loving care. Berta's family really loved her and she will be missed by those who are left behind.
