Randy D Secora passed away October 14, 2013 at Teton Medical Center. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 18 at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Fairfield.
Survivors include his mother, Laurel Secora of Simms; a son, David and two daughters, Kathy and Karen of North Carolina; brothers, Terry (Sherry) of Fairfield and Rick (Pam) of Maryland; sisters, Shanna (Mike) Chism of Sun River and Sheryl (Jim) Carr of Great Falls and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Randy was born in Great Falls, MT on November 30, 1950 and attended school at Greenfield Elementary and Fairfield before enlisting in the Army in 1968. Randy served in the US Army for almost 17 years and was a Staff Sergeant stationed in Vietnam, Korea and Germany. He received many awards and commendations for his service.
Randy cooked in the Army and later at various facilities in Helena, Fairfield and Choteau. He volunteered with the DAV, driving veterans around the state for medical appointments for many years. He was awarded the DAV National Commanders award for completing 100,000 miles as a volunteer driver. Randy was an avid reader and could quite possibly have started his own western library.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Don Secora; a brother, Steve Secora; and wife Edie.
