Ralph James Cox, 89, of Choteau, passed away peacefully October 24, 2016 at Missouri River Manor in Great Falls, MT. A grave side service with veteran's honors will be held November 03, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Augusta Cemetery.
Mr. Cox was born September 01, 1927 to Ralph Delbert Cox and Mary Ann Wilson in Augusta Montana. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1946 and was a proud Augusta Elks supporter. In 1950 he entered the Army during the Korean War and spent a short time at a private, however he never did spend any time overseas, and was released from the Army in Tacoma, Washington. Ralph was what people would consider a Classic Montana Cowboy. His proudest time in life after serving his country was spent being a "Cow Puncher", he loved being a ranch hand. He was an avid reader in his later years you could always find him sitting, engaged in a good Louis L'aMour book. Ralph loved kids and anytime a kid came to visit at Skyline Lodge he would give them one of his lollipops he had, he always kept a big bag and the kids all loved visiting with him.
Ralph was proceeded in death by his parents, and is survived by his many friends that he met along his journey.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Skyline Lodge in Choteau, MT
