Patricia Tangen

May 30, 1936 — December 1, 2018

Patricia Ann Tangen, 82, of Choteau, Montana passed away December 1, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder-Jensen Funeral Home and a Celebration of life will take place Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Choteau, Montana.

Patty was born May 30, 1936, at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, MT to Loren and Dorothy Clark. Her siblings are Lois Johnson (deceased) and Richard Clark of Superior, MT. She attended schools in Smith River, Pendroy, Choteau and Great Falls, graduating from Choteau High in 1954 and marrying the love of her life, Herbert Lee Tangen, October 16th, of that same year. Together they farmed and ranched, raising 5 children. Kathy (John) Jones of Choteau, Douglas (Kim) Tangen of Fairfield, Amy Tangen of Great Falls, Jan (Darren) Fowler of Belgrade, Jim (Gemma) Tangen of San Antonio, Texas. Patty had 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, who all loved her dearly.

Patty lived her life in the Choteau area and loved it very much. Later in life she came to love the Skyline Lodge and the people who lived there, always helping someone. Her other loves were the Rocky Mountain Front, indian paintbrush, bear grass, Trinity Lutheran Church, her children, her grands, and her greats. We will remember Patty as honest, direct, sassy, strong and always there for anyone who needed anything.

Memorials in her name are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
