Myrtle Beatrice Rose, 75, of Choteau passed away at her home from natural causes September 4th. Myrtle was born to Dick and Doris Rose January 21, 1941. She was born and raised in Pendroy along with her sister Eleanor and brother Steve. Myrtle was always so proud of her Pendroy roots. She graduated from Choteau High School and Columbus School of Nursing.
Myrtle began her nursing career in Choteau. She loved caring for patients and serving as the primary source of medical advice for the family. Although, she was notorious for saying "just put a band aid on it" no matter the seriousness of the injury.
In her retirement, Myrtle traveled. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with friends and family. She used her spare time to create beautiful crafts and paintings. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids. She was the best grandma. She served as a trusted confidant and partner in all activities.
Myrtle was a beloved mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Choteau United Methodist Church Memorial.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother Steve (Corine) Rose of Pendroy, sister Eleanor (Don) Peters of Pendroy, daughter Christy(Lew) Clark, of Helena, Mary (Pete) Plaza of Lincoln, and grandchildren Karli(Ben) Johnson, Sidney, Jack (Jamie)Clark of Choteau, and Joey Clark of Helena. Collin, Lacey and Ali Ranf. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Choteau United Methodist Church, with burial at Choteau Cemetery to follow.
