Mary Stott

February 9, 1926 — January 15, 2020

Mary "Louise" Stott, 93, of Choteau, passed away January 15, 2020 from natural causes at home surrounded by family and friends.

Louise was born February 9, 1926 in Choteau, MT. to Lee Jacob Hamer and Mary Johns. Louise graduated from Choteau High School with the class of 1943 and married her high school sweet heart Leslie Leroy Stott January 30, 1944 in Pendroy, MT.

Louise loved the farm life and raising her children. She worked on the farm milking cows, hauling milk, hauling grain and making lunches for haying crews. She was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many positions within. Louise enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, church work and being a ticket taker for Moose Hall Dances while Leslie played in a Dance Band.

Louise is survived by her sons Darell (Nancy) Stott of Choteau, MT. and Dave (Gayle) Stott of Wasilla, AK.; a daughter Marcia Selby of Chowchilla, CA. as well as 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Louise is predeceased by her husband Leslie, a daughter Becky Nesbit, a son Donavon Stott and 2 grandsons Matt Selby and Dell Nesbit

A family Graveside Service has taken place Monday, January 20, 2020 at 11:00 am at Choteau Cemetery where Louise was laid to rest next to her husband.
