She was born to the late Leland and Ardell Larson, on May 24, 1955, in Choteau, Mt. Marilyn attended Premium Center in 1st grade and 2nd through 11th grade in Dutton, and graduated from Brady High School. She married Michael Hagen in 1981 and raised a family on a homestead outside of Power.
Marilyn worked at the Cowtrack Lodge, Skyline Lodge, Choteau Activities, and Mikes Club.
She is survived by her husband Michael Hagen of Power, daughter Rebecca Hagen of Dutton, son Nickoli Johnson of Choteau, brothers Mike Larson of Sun Prairie, and Ray Larson of Collins. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Trey and Jordyn Stengrimson of Power, and Maggie and Christian Johnson of Choteau.
She will be remembered by those closest to her for her warm welcoming smile that made everyone feel like a friend. Her characteristic laugh filled whatever room she was in and made everyone smile. Her deep sense of empathy for those less fortunate made an indelible impression on those around her and she will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Sletten Cancer Institute.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday the 15th of February at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Dutton Mt, followed by burial at the Dutton Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.gorderjensenfuneralhome.com
