Margery Wesolowski

August 7, 1928 — September 16, 2018

Dutton resident Margery Ann Wesolowski, 90, died of natural causes on September 16, 2018 in the home of her youngest daughter and husband, where Marge had resided for the past year.

Margery Ann Wesolowski was born August 7, 1928 in Crystal Falls in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Donald and Aino Clark. Donald Clark cleared the woods on his property to build his family's home. He and Aino raised oats, had milk cows and chickens. Donald also worked as a plumber. The nearby road was later named Clark Road in the family's honor. Margery was the third of six children. Young Marge had an idyllic childhood in rural Michigan and enjoyed ice skating and cross-country skiing in the long, snowy winters with her siblings and cousins. Summers were spent swimming at nearby Gibson Lake.

Marge married Joseph Soha on December 26, 1946. The couple lived in briefly in Arizona, then Madison, WI, Quantico, VA, and later in Panama Joseph went to school, worked and later taught school while Margery at times worked and took care of their growing family . Two children were born during those years and they then settled in Duluth, MN where they ran a boarding house. Marge gave birth to her third child in Duluth. Joe and Marge divorced in 1959.

Margery met Edward John Wesolowski (Wes) in Duluth and were married on December 21, 1959. Wes was in the Air Force and almost immediately took his new family to Madrid, Spain for four years. A son was born in Madrid. Upon returning to the U.S. the family was stationed in Oregon, and then, along with the two youngest children, was sent to Japan, Okinawa, South Dakota, Kansas and finally Puyallup, WA where they retired.

Marge went back to school to become a drug and alcohol counselor and worked for 17 years in that field where she was beloved by her co-workers and clients. Wes and Marge spent 38 wonderful years together in Puyallup until Wes's death in 1997.

In 2006, Marge moved to Dutton to be nearer her two daughters. Marge's sweetness and gratitude made her many friends in the twelve years she spent living in Dutton. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed swimming and other forms of exercise, was a wonderful seamstress, and enjoyed all of God's creation. Marge traveled extensively and embraced the adventures and challenges in her life; she truly bloomed where she was planted.

Marge is survived by her bothers, Gary (Anna) Clark and Tony (Maxine) Clark of Crystal Falls, MI; a daughter, Vicky (Carl) Trebesch of Sidney, MT; a son, Donald (Kim) Soha of Arkansaw, WI; a daughter, Sandy (Brad) Fleshman of Dutton, MT; and a son, Mark (Lisa) Wesolowski of Monroe, WA. Grandchildren Matt (Jen) Trebesch and Tessa (Aaron) Pitman both of Whitefish, MT; Brooke (Jay) Ratliff of Fairfield, MT; Logan (Maria) Fleshman and Reid (Ellie) Fleshman both of Dutton, MT; Johanna (Nick) Kereven of Madison, WI; Jake (Danielle Soha of WI; Ethan Wesolowski of Bellingham, WA and eleven great-grandchildren.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Aino; sisters Elizabeth and Patricia; brother Dan; Joseph Soha; husband Wes Wesolowski and grandson Tyson Trebesch.
