Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, Dec 22, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Choteau, MT for Margaret R. "Maggie" Larson, age 65, of Choteau, MT who died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at her home in Choteau, MT. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, Dec. 21st at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Choteau, MT. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home of Choteau, MT and inurnment will be at 1:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2013 in the Choteau Cemetery.
Maggie was born October 17, 1947 in Great Falls, MT, the daughter of Morris and Clara (Kelley) Larson. She was raised in Choteau and graduated from high school there. She then moved to Washington where she resided for several years moving to Three Forks, MT in 1992 and then back to Choteau in 1997.
She enjoyed making jewelry and rosaries, playing Bingo and card games as well as knitting and crocheting. She was the person responsible for making sure all the graves in the Choteau Cemetery had a remembrance tribute for Memorial Day, what she called Project Remembrance.
Maggie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Choteau Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, serving as past-secretary for Fr. Noonan.
She is survived by 2 sisters: Marlyn (Jed) Damson of Havre, MT and Maureen (Lynn) Nordahl of Three Forks, MT, a brother: Michael (Kendall) Larson of Dillon, MT; a granddaughter: Hailey McIntire of Denmark; 14 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter: Mari Jo Larson on March 7, 2009.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
