Laura Jean Thorne 45 gained her Wings on January 30, 2024, at BTMC Extended Care. She had been having health issues for the past couple of years.
Laura was born in Red Wing MN on May 26th, 1978. She came to Choteau in 1979 where she spent her life. She graduated from Choteau High School in 1997, with lots of help, and love.
She worked at Choteau Activities, and the Full Circle doing various jobs, and loved it! She participated in the Special Olympics, enjoying her favorites, bocci ball, cycling and bowling.
Laura loved to travel, she spent time with her dad and his family in Texas, Alaska, and Minnesota. She enjoyed all outdoor adventures whether it be fishing, hunting, and camping, or just going on outings with her family.
She loved NFL football and could not decide on the Packers or the Vikings. She loved her music, reading, writing poems, coloring, and watching her stash of movies. She also loved animals and children, especially her nieces and young cousins.
She is survived by her mother Terri (Jake) Waldner of Choteau, her father Mike (Kathy) Thorne of Texas. Brothers Robert Nathan (Mandy) Thorne, their children Avaleigh and Lainey of Cut Bank, Seth Omsberg, and Sean (Paige) Thorne, their children Eevie, and Curtis of Alaska. Aunts and uncles Carol (Duane) Johnson of Choteau, Janie (Craig) Zwerneman of Choteau, and Mark (Tama) Guse of Columbia Falls, Randy (Virginia) Thorne, James Thorne, John Thorne, Terry (John) Mertens, and Jennifer (Butch) Johnson; grandfather Alvin Guse of Choteau and Grandmother Sally Thorne of Plum City, WI. and numerous cousins.
Ahe was proceeded in death by brother Christopher, Grandmother Sharon Guse, and grandfather Everend 0. Thorne, Jr. Laura's extended family includes the gang at Choteau Activities, and many from the colonies around the area who loved her.
Laura's smile and quick-witted humor will be missed by all......
