John Joseph Willis Jr. 70 passed away May 21 2015, at the Benefis Teton Medical Center in Choteau. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen funeral Home of Choteau.
John was born in Tonopah, Nevada to Kathryn Viola Sabados and John James Willis Sr. on November 28 1944.
John a lifelong resident of Bynum was in the US, Army and was honorably discharged. He then returned to the Bynum area and married Linda Jones-Willis.
John worked as a long distance truck driver and rancher.John was proud of the accomplishment he made in starting the AA program in Choteau and his sobriety of 40 years. He would help anyone that would listen to him. His hobbies included ranch work, fishing, hunting, and camping.
He is survived by his daughter Tracy Willis of Northern Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Linda, and a son Troy.
A celebration of life will take place Wednesday May 27th at 2pm at the Skyline Lodge's Social Room on the second floor.
The family suggests memorials to the Shriners.
