Jacqueline Louise (Shaw) Carlson

Jacqueline went to be with our lord on January 27th 2016 with a smile on her face, as always. She made all of our lives happier because of her great heart. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday February 4th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Choteau. Interment will follow in the Choteau Cemetery.

Jackie was born in Great Falls Montana to Jesse and Francis Shaw on May 4th 1936. She was a lifelong resident of Montana,. She married her first husband, Charles Hanson, after graduating from high school in Fairfield in 1954. They had two sons: Carl Hanson and Doug Hanson. They were later divorced, and she then met John L Carlson and they were married in Great Falls in 1961. They had two daughters: Jonel Hodgskiss and Kimberly Anderson.

Jackie loved her friends and co-workers. She was the head cook at Choteau High School and worked at several restaurants as a waitress and also as a camp cook. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Choteau. Jackie was also a 50 year member of the Easter Star, 6years as Boy Scout leader, 4-H camp cook. She also cooked at a fishing lodge in Alaska for one summer. She loved to sew, and followed her kids and grandchildren in sports (Basketball, Football, Wrestling and Swimming).



She was proceed in death by her parents, and two brothers: Doug and Jesse Shaw. both sons: Carl and Doug Hanson and Daughter-in-law Margaret Hanson



She is survived by her husband John and daughters: Jonel(Brad)Hodgskiss of Choteau ,MT and Kimberly(Scott) Anderson of Fairfield, MT, daughter-in-law:Dru Hanson,of Choteau, MT and sister- in- laws Trina Shaw and Diane Shaw, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
