Frankie Lee Powell, 93, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Teton Medical Center, in Choteau, MT. She was born March 29, 1925 to Vivian and Frankie (Shaw) Dacus in Los Angeles, CA where she also completed her schooling. On November 10, 1941, she married Charles Powell while he was serving during World War II. While her husband was off serving his country, Frankie wanted to do her part to support the war and became a Rosie the Riveter. After the war the couple stayed in California to raise their four children. After the passing of her husband in 2001, Frankie moved to Choteau. In her free time she enjoyed word find puzzles, and watching Lawrence Welk or listening to her Big Band music. Some of her best times were spent with family. The family would like to thank all her extended family and friends for bringing her much joy during her time at the Skyline Lodge.
She was in death by her husband of 60 years, both her parents, and her sister Vivian.
She is survived by her four children; Bill (Michele) Powell of Corvallis, OR, Randy (Nancy) Powell of Levelland, TX, Gary Powell of Choteau, MT, and Lynn (Steve) Burtch of Sweethome, OR. Also surviving are many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and Frankies' best friend from high school Esther.
Private graveside ceremony will be at a later date in Ft. Harrison, MT.
