Florence Nick

Florence Ruby Nick, age 87 of Dupuyer, MT died Monday, Jan. 6, 204 at the Teton Medical Center in Choteau. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home and services will be held at a later date.



Florence was born on March 15, 1926 near Mobridge, SD, the daughter of Tom and Stella (Cain) Nick. She was raised and educated in South Dakota and graduated as valedictorian from the Plainview Academy in Redfield, SD. She was a linotype operator for newspapers in Mobridge, SD and Las Vegas, NV until her retirement in the later 1980s. She moved to Dupuyer 19 years ago from Las Vegas and as lived at the Teton Medical Center for the last 5 years.



She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church and was an avid reader who loved nature and playing the piano and organ.



Florence is survived by siblings: James Nick of Elverta, CA, Lilly Nick of Nampa ID, Marvin Nick of Sierra Vista, AZ, June Nafziger of Benton Harbor, MI, Edwin Nick of Mesa, AZ, Donna Machett of Dupuyer, MT, Catherine Guthrie of Yucaipa, CA and Virginia Lee of Nampa, ID.



She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
