Ellnore Lucile (Johnson) Larsen.
With her loving son by her side Ellnore passed away on February 1st 2018 at Benefis Teton Medical Center in Choteau Mt. Ellnore was 100 years old. The Memorial service will be at 11AM on Friday February 9th at the Trinity Lutheran church in Choteau with interment following the service at the Choteau cemetery. A luncheon will be and provided by the Trinity Lutheran women after interment. Funeral arrangements are by the Gorder Jensen Funeral Home in Choteau MT. Which will host a visitation/viewing service on February 8th, Thursday evening 2 to 8 PM.
Ellnore Was born on November 28th 1917 in Great Falls Montana to Severin Johnson and Laura (Edseth) Johnson, they lived on the Fairfield Bench with her older siblings Merinda(Carlson) Guy Johnson, Roma(Weber/Plummer) and Stanley Johnson. She was confirmed at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairfield mt. She Attended Fairfield Elementary and graduated from Great Falls High School in 1935.
Ellnore married Kaare Pedersen Larsen from Moelv Norway on October 18th 1936 in Black Eagle, Mt. They first settled on the Evensen Farm (Kaare's Brother in laws) which after became the farm of Thomas Evensen and later they settled on the Terris farm both are located between Choteau and Dutton.
They had three children: Leif Carl, and Mona Kay and Laura lee Larsen
Ellnore was a loving mother and excellent farm wife. Her fun loving generous nature made family and friends feel welcome to her warm inviting home.She made the best cookies to accompany her coffee! Ellnore was always ready to fry chicken and prepared many delicious meals for family and harvest crews. Along the way Ellnore enjoyed Bible Study and taking her walks and reading. Her creative talent showed through her crocheted clothing hangers, colorful Afghans, picture albums and family history book. However it was the trips to Norway and visits to relatives far away that excited her and caused her to share that adventure.
Ellnore was active in the Trinity Lutheran church with the ladies Aide and Bible study. She was Past Noble Grand of the Queen Rebekah Lodge No.31 and a longtime member of a Local women's birthday club, was a regular participant at the Senior Center and was named "Senior Citizen of the Year in 1997.
Ellnore loved her family, friends, community and neighbors. She was an active and caring lady all of her life. After Kaare died Ellnore lived at Skyline Lodge, the Teton County Nursing Home and Finally the Benefis Teton Medical Center.
Ellnore was preceded in death by her husband K.P. whom she was married to for 57 years. Daughter Mona Kay Ward, Her Parents, her siblings several nephews and nieces, Granddaughter Karis Spouse Charles F Harding III and a Great' great grandson Clayton Edward Anderson.
Ellnore is survived by her son Leif (Elaine) Larsen of Choteau, Daughter Laura (Gary) Anderson of Norman OK, Son in Law Doyle Ward of Roseburg OR, 7 grandchildren Becky (Dennis) Moulton of Choteau, MT Andy(Johnna)Larsen of Bellingham, WA Doyle (Kirsten) Ward Of Sterling, Ma Lars (Tracy) Ward OF McMinnville, OK Kari Marie Harding Of Norman, OK Evan C Anderson and Jon (Amy) Anderson of Oklahoma City, OK
Twelve Great grandchildren, Jessica Sena Of Choteau, Mt Alyse Sena of Omaha, NE. Kalyn Struiksma of Ferndale, Wa. Jake Larsen of Everson, WA. Natalie Ward of Sterling, Ma. Victoria and Alex Ward of McMinnville,OR. Case and Carter Harding of Norman. OK. And Vivien, Archer and Elin Anderson of Oklahoma City, OK. And two Great, great-grandsons Gavin and Braxton Sena of Choteau, MT. one Great Great Granddaughter Zenna Be Ward of McMinnville,OR. And Several Nieces and nephews.
