Eileen Goodwin Scott, 89, passed away September 15th, 2023 in Choteau, Montana.
Eileen was born in Simms, Montana on September 21st, 1932 to Fred and Helen (Demchok) Myskewitz. After moving to the west side of Great Falls, she graduated from Great Falls High School, Class of 1951. Amongst her educational accomplishments were the three years of Latin she took in high school. Eileen then entered the Montana exclusive LPN licensing program offered through the Columbus Hospital, graduating in 1954. In order to have a nationally recognized license she proceeded to enroll and graduate from Portland Oregon Community College. This allowed for her to work in several states throughout her 63-year long Nursing career. Retiring from the VA hospital in Helena, Montana in 2018. Eileen was always a hard worker, often working two jobs, including Days Inn in Helena up until her stroke.
Eileen married Jack Q. James in December of 1955, later divorcing. She then remarried in September of 1977 to Michael Lee Scott.
Eileen was always active, loving to dance, gardening, home improvement projects and for several years competing in the Governors’ Cup race, during which she always included her grandkids.
Eileen will be remembered for her absolute devotion to her 7 kids, 7 siblings, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. Despite having family across multiple states, Eileen organized many Myskewitz/James family reunions. She was well loved.
Survivors include her sons, David James of Helena, Ron (Cathy) James of Great Falls, Jeff James of Bend, OR; daughters, Pamela Trosper of Helena and Susan James of Choteau; siblings, Alice (John) Ewing of CO, Patricia Heiman of Madison, WI, Fred (Judy) Myskewitz of WI; along with many grandkids, great- grandkids, a great great-grandkid, many nieces and nephews, and four stepchildren.
Eileen is proceeded in death by son, Raymond James of Helena; daughter, Paula James of Portland, OR; brothers, Henry and Gary Myskewitz; sister, Virginia Tintinger; husbands, Jack Q. James and Michael Scott; grandchild, Steven Trosper.
