Drena Lee Richards, 77, of Choteau passed away April 3, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held April 12, 2023 at 2:00pm at Living the Word Church in Choteau, Montana under the direction of Frontier Funeral Home.



Drena was born to Homer and Florence (Gray) Lane in Choteau, MT on December 13, 1945. Drena attended Choteau Public Schools. She met then married Dennis Lindgren on November 15, 1963, they later divorced. On August 8, 2008 she wed Carl Richards.



Throughout her life Drena worked hard as a wife and mother. Outside of the home she managed a Hotel, enjoyed camping, reading the Bible and spending time with family and friends. Those close to her knew that petunias were her favorite flower and that her constant companion, her cat, Beans always made her smile.



Drena is survived by son, Dennis F. (Gwen) Lindgren of North Carolina; daughters, Marribeth L. (Whit) Foster of Choteau and Heather (Keith) German of South Dakota; sister, Laura (Walt) Bastinelli of Pennsylvania; brother, Randy (Joey) Carrier of Choteau. Other survivors include her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.



Preceding Drena in death are her parents, Homer Lane and Florence Gray; stepfather, Francis Carrier; brother, Walter (Sonny Boy) Carrier; husband, Carl Richards; daughter, Trisha C. Lindgren; granddaughter, Brynn Michelle Young; uncles, aunts and grandparents.
