Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Choteau United Methodist Church for Charles Marcus Joslyn Sr., age 79, of Choteau, MT who died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at his home in Choteau from natural causes. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home of Choteau.
Charles was born April 22, 1933 in Glasgow, MT, the son of Charles McKinley and Carlie Lee (Wright) Joslyn.
He was married to Lois M. Gillard on December 29, 1957 in Great Falls, MT and she preceded him in death on July 7, 2005.
Charles was a Korean War era veteran of the US Navy and an attorney in Choteau. He moved to Choteau in 1969 from Helena, MT and attended the Methodist Church.
He enjoyed painting with acrylics, camping and bird-watching and was a member of the Choteau Masonic Lodge.
Charles is survived by children: Charles Joslyn Jr. of Choteau, George (YungHui) Joslyn of Valdosta, GA, Dave Joslyn of Grand Junction, CO, Colleen (Joe) Tumulty of Thurmont, MD and Carol (Sean) Strickland of Shelby, MT; two sisters: Josephine Kesselring of North Carolina and Joann "Jessie" Evans of Texas, and 8 grandchildren: Joseph, Mark, John and Paul Tumulty, all of Maryland, Sarah Rice of Great Falls, MT, Samuel Rice of Pittsburgh, PA, Cian Strickland of Shelby, MT and Samantha Joslyn of Grand Junction, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister: Justine Walker.
