Ann MacDonald

August 22, 1932 — February 9, 2018

Ann Greyn MacDonald

Ann, daughter of Louie and Nina (Kaptein) Bouma, spent most of her life in Choteau, Montana. She was born in Corisca, SD, August 22, 1932. Ann was married to Huigh Greyn, the love of her life, April 1953 for 32 wonderful years, which were filled with love until Huigh passed away in 1985. With Huigh, she had 8 children and was the proud grandmother to 29 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Huigh and Ann started farming and never quit. Always enterprising, Ann and her husband, Huigh, spent most of their lives in business. Back in 1959/60, they sold NutriBio (vitamin supplements) and traveled around the US and Canada inspiring many crowds. With a natural entrepreneurial spirit, Huigh and Ann were always selling something. They started a fertilizer business which grew significantly until Huigh passed, after a few years two of their sons took over the business that has continued on successfully. One of Huigh and Ann's last ventures was purchasing a piece of property outside of Helena that now has a street that running through it named Queen Anns Street. Ann was never one to let an opportunity pass her by, she sold Tupperware, Hay, pig halves, cattle (including exotic) and much more to help support the family.

Several years after Huigh passed away, Ann was remarried to Alistair MacDonald who also has passed away. Always keeping God first and foremost in her life, Ann raised her children with a strong faith and love of family. She will undoubtedly always be remembered for her independent, strong-willed, hard-working nature and her desire to always help people in need. She will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

She is survived by her 8 children, Gilbert (Diane) Greyn of Dutton, Nina Stapel of Sheboygan, WI, Linda (Andy) Stam of Chilliwack, BC, Larry (Sharon) Greyn of Choteau, Vern (Jenny) Greyn of Dutton, Kathy (Kevin) Gebeke of Carson, ND, Hugh Greyn of Sheboygan, WI and Steve (Lorinda) Greyn of Great Falls, 29 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both husbands, Huigh Greyn and Alistair MacDonald and three brothers Pete, Andrew and Henry Bouma.
