Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Choteau Cemetery for Andrew (Andy) James Brutosky, age92, years old passed away on July 3, 2014 with his family by his side.
Andy was born April 27, 1922 to Andrew and Katherine Brutosky on the family homestead between Choteau and Augusta. Andy grew up going to Liberty School, Augusta and finishing high school in Choteau. After high school he started working at Safeway for awhile and moved to Oregon and worked at Safeway before joining the Army Air Corps where he was stationed at the airbase in Newfoundland and met his future bride Elizabeth (Bess) Ann Manning. Elizabeth moved to Montana. Andy and Bess were married in Great Falls Montana on April 20, 1947. They moved southwest of Choteau and farmed and ranched. They had two children Brian and Brenda. In the early 1960's Andy built a house outside of Choteau. Besides farming and ranching he was an inventor and fabricator, he loved building things.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Elizabeth, 5 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his son Brian Brutosky (Rhea Brutosky), daughter Brenda Cunniff (Lloyd Cunniff) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
