Alta West

Alta Pauline West of Choteau died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on July 27th; she was 85.



Alta was born December 18, 1929 in Cedarville, CA. She married Elmer West on

June 11, 1949, and she is survived by her husband, son Bill West and his wife

Donna of Eureka, MT, daughters, Linda Ziegler and her husband Bill Ziegler of

New Plymouth, Idaho and Patricia Swan-Smith of Great Falls. She has six

grandchildren, Carey Lake and John West, Stacy Clinton and Dustie Valentine,

and Misty Weaver and Lynn Malie. She had ten great-grandchildren, Jade,

Samantha, Tyler, Brody, Haden, Alaina, and Navaeh; two preceded her in death,

Natasha and Merida .



She stated she did not want any services and the family is respecting her wishes.

We would like to thank all of her wonderful coffee-drinking friends here in Choteau

who were a big part of her life, especially the cookie-baking man Dave.
